Built for real life

For the long meeting, the lecture, and the call that interrupts both.

12hours

One recording, all day

All-day workshops and conferences in a single recording. Acroa warns you before storage or battery runs low, and summarizes every part into one.

Survives phone calls

When a call comes in, recording pauses and picks up again by itself afterwards. The gap is marked in the transcript.

Notes while you listen

Jot notes and mark moments during a recording. They sit on the timeline and go into the summary.

Search and ask

Find any word across every recording, offline. Or ask a question and Ask Acroa answers from your recordings, with the sources.

Listen back faster

Up to 2× with natural pitch, Skip Silence, and a transcript that follows along. Controls on the lock screen too.

Your words, spelled right

Add the names and terms you use and pick the language you speak, so transcripts get them right.

Import audio, video or text

Bring in audio and video files (only the sound is sent), or a document or pasted text at half the cost.

Recently Deleted

Deleted a recording by mistake? It waits for 30 days, ready to recover.

Share and export

Copy or share a summary or transcript in a tap, and export the original audio.

Privacy

Your recordings live on your iPhone. Not on our servers.

Acroa sends only what it must to be transcribed and summarized, and our server forgets it as soon as the result comes back. This website has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking either.

  • Stored on your device. Recordings, transcripts, summaries and notes stay on your iPhone. There is no cloud copy.
  • Nothing kept on our server. Audio and text pass through to be processed and are not stored.
  • Not used for training. OpenAI and Anthropic process your data under API terms that don't allow training on it.
  • Audio clears itself. Deleted 14 days after it's transcribed, or straight away if you choose. Text stays until you delete it.
  • Delete any time. Remove your Acroa data from inside the app.

Questions

Good to know.

Is there really no subscription?

Really. You buy packs of hours (10, 25 or 60) and they never expire. Nothing renews automatically. Your first 2 hours are free.

Do I need to be online to record?

No. Recording works anywhere. Transcription and summaries need a connection, and Acroa uploads queued parts by itself when you're back online. Search and reading work offline.

Does Acroa back up my recordings?

Not in this version. Everything is kept on your iPhone, so your device backup is your backup. You can export audio, transcripts and summaries at any time.

Is it legal to record a conversation?

It depends on where you are. Some places require everyone's consent. You're responsible for telling people they're being recorded and getting consent where the law requires it.

How do I sign in?

With Sign in with Apple or a one-time email link. Your login is a Directive LLC account, which also works with other Directive LLC apps.

How do I delete my data?

In the app, go to Profile, then Delete Acroa Data & Revoke Access. Your Acroa data is deleted and this iPhone is signed out of Acroa; your Directive LLC login stays for other Directive LLC apps. More on the support page.
